Black Environmentalist Alliance

the black environmentalists alliance (bea) brings together practicing professionals dedicated to improving the environment and harnessing our collective voice to create meaningful environmental impacts for black communities in canada. we are entrepreneurs, government and private sector practitioners, philanthropists, activists and academics. we were driven to convene to build a black-led movement to address the void in black leadership. we have identified four core ambitions: 1) advance the profile and opportunities for black professionals in the environmental field; 2) advocate for black communities and environmental justice; 3) increase black communities’ access to government and financial institutions; and 4) provide peer-to-peer engagement opportunities
