our mission is to increase the representation of black professionals within the financial regulatory industry, at all levels of seniority. the vision of the bfra is a financial services industry that is regulated by a diverse group of exceptional professionals with black people proportionately represented at all levels of seniority. financial regulators implement and enforce critical legislation, such as the community reinvestment act and the fair housing act, that directly impacts black people, who are often a key stakeholder demographic. additionally, regulators are entrusted with the responsibility of making critical decisions regarding financial assistance during times of economic and financial distress. black people have a direct interest in the outcomes of financial regulation. thus, we need representation in spaces where regulatory decisions are made. our organization focuses on four imperatives: (1) professional networking; (2) continuing education; (3) recruiting the next g
