black men & women of valor is committed to mentoring, cultivating, and grooming underdeveloped and disadvantaged youth. we believe providing a platform for our mentees to be well-groomed is essential to their future endeavors; most importantly, the impact they will make on the world. as our mentees transition from high school and or the juvenile court system, our program equips them with the essential skills, etiquette, tools, and training they need to thrive. with our blueprint, we have strategically designed our programming to empower our mentees to discover their gift, purpose, and destiny. to begin uprooting the generational cycles that perpetuate our communities, we found that we must first address the current challenges our mentees are facing, such as systematic and institutionalized racism, fatherless and motherless homes, disproportionate drop-out rates, unreconciled mental health traumatization, education disparities, underfunded communities, discrimination, mass incarcerat
