Black Rock French Quarter

the black rock french quarter is a community of over 400 people, organized for the purpose of creating visceral experiences, sharing them with the public, and teaching the public to create their own visceral experiences. the primary expression of the black rock french quarter is at the burning man festival, where this community creates and populates a living replica of the french quarter in new orleans, complete with rustic buildings and wrought iron balconies, jazz funeral processions, fine dining, crawfish boils, shamanistic rituals, and various other performances. everything in the community, including the building architecture, is offered as a template that other groups can learn from, replicate, and customize to empower their own expressions of culture.
