Black Tie Games

black tie games is a (very) small games company founded near philadelphia, pa. what is a black tie game? we like to design many different kinds of games, but they all have unifying features: easy to pick up: we will never make a game that takes longer to explain than it does to play. if a new player can’t figure out how to play one of our games by the middle of their first game, we take it back to the drawing board. we’re also not going to complicate or add a game mechanic just because we feel like it. replayable: each game is designed to maximize replay value, even with the same group of people, and not have the same outcome twice. some games may rely more on chance than skill and some may be the opposite, but they’ll all allow for comebacks and clever strategy. entertaining on their own merit: we believe games should have more substance than just a quirky theme or edgy material, and we aren’t going to make a game that wouldn’t be the same amount of fun with a different theme.
