Black Women in Plastic Surgery and Dermatology

bwpsd is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization inspired by the collective stories and experiences of black girls and women pursuing the honorable professions of plastic surgery and dermatology. we are a community of students, doctors, professionals, and civilians brought together by the shared goal of providing black women the resources, opportunities, mentorship, access and support needed for their success. the representation and inclusion of black women matters. our communities need our presence and influence. diversity and inclusion is imperative because it increases the culturally-competent care of patients, encourages advancements in research, and improves the culture found within the plastic surgery and dermatology professions.
