Black Hypothesis

9 percent* - the percentage of black americans currently working in stem (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). racial and ethnic diversity is crucial to the processes of research, innovation, and development. without them, equity and excellence would be unachievable. blackhypothesis explores a broad range of stem topics through conversations that consider cultural sensitivity while remaining engaging and encouraging. our mission is to openly discuss the past, the present, and what we hope to see in the future for people of color interested in stem. we want these conversations to excite people like us to claim their place in the rooms where decisions are made, and everything happens. exclusion and segregation in these very industries have resulted in systemic racism, discrimination, and neglect. deconstructing these systems and practices means we all must get into the room.
