Black Mental Health Alliance for Education & Consultation, Inc.

bmha is a community focused mental health advocacy and membership organization serving as a trusted public resource for the greater baltimore region. the organization has positioned itself as a holistic, culturally relevant thought leader working to demystify stigma in the black community, develop scalable modalities and support this idea of maintenance of whole health. we have created a myriad of psychosocial community healing sessions and other services for black americans and other marginalized communities. regularly, bmha staff receive inquiries via phone and email or as we are out in the community about mental health disorders; as well as fielding requests from various state and local government offices and community-based organizations (cbos) wanting to connect with our programming. after they share their elation and surprise that such and organization as bmha exist, their questions usually focus on our programmatic role in baltimore and in maryland.
