blessed community empowerment organization (blec) is a regional organization formed by local turkana-kenya professionals in the year 2017 and subsequently registered in 2018 as a cbo, providing humanitarian aid and development assistance to pastoralists and vulnerable host communities in areas where livestock and agriculture is the main source of livelihood, focusing on host community. the organization has since been operating as a non-profit and non-partisan charity organization to help the poor and the most vulnerable members of turkana community. blec implements activities in loima, turkana west and turkana central sub-counties of turkana county with special focus on the host community. the organization is run and managed by local youth and women with a mission to nurture, empower and transform local vulnerable young people and women to be self-reliant and independent in the community through table banking and livelihood activities. blec operates according to its vision, mission a
