many people in my life don't know the etymology of my name, but a few have heard the story of how my parents were studying hebrew in seminary when i came along. they wanted a biblical name that was also unique and original. they ended up deciding to take my first name from the hebrew word chayim, meaning "life", and my middle name is the hebrew david, meaning "blessed". chay david. life blessed. it's something i don't think about as often as i should. if we americans could stop arguing about everything for a few minutes each day and realize how blessed we all are, left, right, and center, then we could actually make this world a better place. i know many people are invested in worthwhile and wholesome causes. but when we promote a worthwhile cause by tearing down another person or cause, then we are part of the problem. there is too much hate in this world. this is part of the reason that, when forming my new company, i chose to call it "blessed life". so that every time i see my com
