buena vista audio is the production space for the work of producer / multi-instrumentalist / songwriter / engineer / mixer jonathan anderson. nestled quietly in a back lane in the suburb of langley bc, approximately 50 minutes from downtownvancouver is his sonic toybox where much of his work is done. many albums have been completely recorded and mixed here. the space is chock full of all kinds of instruments and recording tools, both vintage and modern. it’s a place for imagination and experimenting, a place where the song is king. this facility was built in the summer of 2003 as a replacement for his previous space (basement winter) which he was quickly outgrowing. jonathan has worked on numerous recording projects, ranging from solo artists like aidan knight, sheree plett and jack harlan (nettwerk), to popular vancouver bands in medias res and stabilo (emi), to children’s choirs, string quartets and indie rock bands. he has also spent time at many different studios in the greater van
