the trust is a small scale grassroots conservation and education non-government organisation (ngo) dedicated to reaching the united nations 17 sustainable development goals across our area of impact (aoi) in rural north sumatra, indonesia. we pride ourselves in our grassroots origins, and make every effort to ensure that the local communities for whom we serve are involved in our projects from day one, and have a say in the planning and objectives of every program, project or initiative we run to insure that everything we do is both needed and wanted by the local community. established in 2004, the trust has a long history on the front line of conservation, and since that time we have worked with the local community to improve the quality of life and education in the area, whilst pioneering efforts to conserve and preserve the natural biodiversity and wildlife that lives within the severely endangered leuser ecosystem. we believe in a holistic approach to conservation and that onl
