new normal – caring for people and the planet bukky baldwin focuses on the importance of community and provides employment opportunities for marginalised groups. as a label, we value individuals in need and are committed to using creativity as a tool to bring about positive socio-economic change in the uk. we make hand-made, classic garments to love forever. as a small, independent business that believes in making ethical decisions, we strive to make affordable clothes that our customers can feel proud to purchase. our fabric is manufactured, printed and made locally in manchester. we care about our planet and will always make as little negative impact on the environment as possible. our past projects include a 6-month, weekly training programme for local refugees at the whitworth, manchester. we focused on training people in a series of creative skills, teaching them how to make and design products, and developing their english language skills for employment.
