the aims of the bulgarian society at the university of surrey are to promote and broaden the understanding of the bulgarian culture and heritage and to enhance the relationship and connection among bulgarian students by providing a forum for communication with and among themselves. we also recognize the importance of facilitating the integration of bulgarian and non-bulgarian freshers into the life of the university and we aim at doing so through: induction/‘welcome' events, dance classes, sport matches/tournaments and interactive and multicultural meetings/gatherings. in addition, where possible, the bulgarian society will reach out and provide support and insight at informative talks/lectures about any available opportunities regarding the life on campus and in guildford and networking establishing further opportunities for after leaving uni. a bulgarian citizenship or descent is not required in order to become a member or join in our events, rather just a general interest, an
