the bulgarian youth delegate to the un program is organized by the united nations association of bulgaria in close cooperation with the ministry of foreign affairs of bulgaria. bulgaria has been among the leaders in high-level youth involvement in decision making, as it has been including youth representatives ever since 2007 in its national delegations with granted prerogatives comparable to a diplomatic status to un committees dealing with youth (un third committee, commission for social development). only around 20 countries from 193 un member states have responded to the numerous invitations of the different un secretary generals since 1995 to include youth delegates in the work on the world program of action on youth and other relevant un youth policies. our vision: the bulgarian youth delegate is an effective channel of communication and cooperation at the national, regional and international levels between youth and policy-makers. our mission: the youth delegates initiate dialog
