bulldog tkd is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation dedicated to using tae kwon do to improve community health and fitness and cultivate persistence, courage, kindness, and literacy in our students. our classes are free. donations are welcome and go toward uniforms and tournament entries. our students are encouraged to channel the bulldog and be brave and tenacious in their pursuit of improving themselves and the world they live in. they are encouraged to work toward excellence but embrace failure, to make kindness and mindfulness a daily practice, and above all to stand up for what is right. our classes focus on character building, encourage family bonding, and end with a reading of a character-focused book. we value competition as a teaching tool and our students compete across texas. bulldog tkd traces its lineage directly to jhoon rhee, "the father of american tae kwon do." our head instructor is amelia cardenas-kriv (coach ck). she is a third degree black belt under bob beasley, who
