de plotselinge pgb-stop in 2010 was voor een kleine groep brabantse zorgaanbieders de directe aanleiding om bvkz op te richten. vanaf dat moment zet bvkz zich in voor de belangen van (lokaal) ondernemerschap in de zorg. op deze manier kunnen de wensen van de cliënten invulling krijgen vanuit de samenwerking tussen cliënt en de zorgaanbieder. zodat maatwerk van zorg vorm kan (blijven) krijgen. en de cliënt zoveel mogelijk en zo lang mogelijk de zorg in eigen regie kan houden. bvkz is gegroeid naar een sterke belangenbehartiger en stevige lobbyist voor de kleine zorgaanbieder op landelijk, provinciaal en regionaal niveau met kennis van zaken op politiek, maatschappelijk en vakinhoudelijk gebied in de zorg. de leden van het bestuur werken samen met lokale en (boven-) regionale partners om de waarde van het ondernemerschap in de zorg bij alle ketenpartners te promoten.
