citysens (cts) is a collaborative e-platform that connects citizens with social organizations within their local communities, empowering them to collectively publish data about public events, social initiatives, joint challenges, local news, etc. cts aims to ease a 'pain' that most people nowadays face: despite living in a hiper-connected world, it is very difficult stay informed about activities happening around, in their local context. with cts, users can visualize customized information according to their interests, and subscribe to personalized feeds and alerts. cts will also help social groups and local institutions to reach out to more 'target recipients' for their activities. the system uses technologies that are available in other systems too, but does it with a different aim: by gathering all local civic information, cts acts as an open, crowd-sourced civic dashboard that government, social organizations and citizens can use to gain insight into the city, improve co-ordination
