at cordwainers grow, our aims are to creatively and collaboratively connect people with the natural world and the environment around them to help develop strong values relating to preservation, conservation and regeneration of nature. we teach people about nature and in doing so provide opportunities for communities to come together, share ideas and collaborate. in hackney we do this is a number of different ways but our core activity is to support community gardening throughout the borough. we provide opportunities for this at cordwainers garden but also at sites across the borough working in partnership with local groups including community centres, housing associations, schools and other voluntary/charitable organisations. we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to engage creatively in the natural world that surrounds them. our projects are focused on connecting communities with nature and the environment to develop values that promote respect for both people and planet
