core autosport is a racing organization based in rock hill, sc (charlotte, nc metro area). core is a four-time prototype challenge champion, scoring three of those titles in the american le mans series and the most recent in the new tudor united sports car championship. the team's no. 54 composite resources oreca flm09 is driven by team owner jon bennett and colin braun, who were named the 2014 pc driver champions. core seeks to defend its title and claim championship number five in 2015. in 2014, core formed a partnership with porsche to field two manufacturer-backed porsche 911 rsr in the gtlm class. the team won in its debut at the grueling rolex 24 at daytona and also claimed victory at the 12 hours of sebring. core went on to help porsche score the gtlm manufacturers' championship and aims to do the same in 2015.
