basic transfer is now shift. shift is a multisided platform that enables communities to connect, collaborate, and support women around the world living in extreme poverty though direct cash payments. we believe that women are best equipped to make their own financial decisions and that by eliminating inefficiencies we can create personal one to one connections so that you as the contributor can put your money directly in the hands of the people who need it most. there are 1.3 billion people in this world living off of less than $1/day and 70% of those people are women. extreme poverty is the most severe issue of our time and it is our mission to alleviate it through cash transfers. cash transfers are unconditional cash payments to the ultra poor which are found to be one of the most impactful poverty alleviation solutions. through our fundraising platform, individuals directly interact and support groups of women around the world. contributions are wired directly to a group sav
