Belleville Downtown Docfest

belleville downtown docfest is an international documentary festival held in belleville, ontario canada on the first weekend of march each year. the inaugural belleville downtown docfest - international documentary film festival took place march 2 - 3, 2012. in it's second year, docfest expanded to three days of outstanding international, canadian and local films celebrating life and human dignity around the world and right here at home. screenings are at the empire theatre, the core centre, belleville public library & john m. parrott art gallery. docfest places a particular emphasis on the support and celebration of local filmmakers, featuring the films of 7 filmmakers from the belleville area throughout the 2013 festival. in just 2 years, belleville downtown docfest has screened over 75 films and special guests at the festival have included rita chiarelli, jason collett, velcrow ripper and judy rebick. for more information, visit: www.downtowndocfest.ca www.facebook.com/downtowndocfe
