grilltips.dk blev lanceret i september 2014 af it iværksætteren og grill-entusiast søren lyng benthin. bloggens formål er at formidle glæderne ved grill til hele danmark, og søren har fokus på at lave retter som alle kan finde ud af, og med råvarer der er til at få fat i. "jeg vil bare gerne lave lækre og nemme retter ved grillen, uden at skulle storme rundt i specialbutikker for at finde råvarer, jeg ikke engang ved hvad er" udtaler søren. søren har været it iværksætter siden 1995, og ha desuden også en baggrund i restaurationsbranchen, så det er ikke fremmed for ham at stå bag gryderne i et køkken. i dag står han bare foran grillen istedet for og eksperimenterer med smage og råvarer fra det gode danske køkken, med inspiration fra både det italienske, franske og amerikanske køkken.
