Yad Ezer l'Haver (A Helping Hand to a Friend)

yad ezer l'haver was founded in 2001 on the scent of the poor socio-economic situation in israel. the organization's initial goal was to provide aid to families in need and children at risk. over the years yad ezer l'haver has established soup kitchens and the "children's home" for children in need. in 2008 it was ascertained that there was a need to respond to the hundreds of holocaust survivors that came to the organization's facility for help. yad ezer l'haver provided aid by paying for medications, rent, and groceries. today, yad ezer l'haver operates an entire assisted-living facility dedicated to holocaust survivors. the survivors reside in the facility and receive medical assistance, 3 meals a day, mental support, assistance with exhaustion of rights with the welfare authorities as well as participation in social activities and events in the facility's social club built especially for the tenants.
