henry dancer days supports children and young people with cancer. the charity was set up in memory of henry john dancer, who died in 2010 from osteosarcoma, aged just 12. henry’s mum, jane, founded the charity in 2012 to support children and young people with primary bone cancer. we provide grants to the families of children undergoing treatment for primary bone cancer, a rare type of cancer which can lead to unimaginable difficulties. our grants provide practical support when it is most needed, with additional support given to those in palliative care. we also run the hugely successful storytelling project at newcastle royal victoria infirmary. our magical storyteller helps children with cancer escape their troubles and enter a world of pure imagination! this project is now extending to hospitals in leeds, sheffield, manchester, liverpool and birmingham as well as newcastle thanks to bbc children in need funding. text hddays 3 to 70085 to donate £3 texts cost £3 plus one standard
