Sos Hermann Gmeiner School Bhimtal

hermann gmeiner school, bhimtal, a co-educational residential school with provision for day scholars, was founded on june 01, 1984 by our parental organization sos-cvi. it is located in the western himalayas at an altitude of 4624 ft and occupies areas of 42 acres just above the bhimtal lake. towards the west, it commands a magnificent view of evergreen tree- covered himalayan ranges and to the south, the vast genetic plains sprawling to the horizon. it is at a distance of 315 kms. northeast of delhi, 369 kms. from lucknow and 22 kms. from kathgodam. a conglomeration of old and new buildings combines well-the traditional with the modern and adds a unique charisma to its overall splendor. the rainy season extends from july to early september. the place is cool and pleasant in summer but has intense winters.
