hortipoint is the publishing company of stichting vakinformatie siergewassen (svs) in leiden, the netherlands. the foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides objective and independent professional information for operators in the horticultural sector with the aim of further professionalization of entrepreneurs. svs works for the ornamental plant sector in a broad sense: from ornamentals to domestic and foreign trade in floriculture products, nursery stock, gardening and landscaping business, floral retail and everything that can be associated with the horticultural trade and processing of ornamental plants. the foundation's board represents five trade associations to guarantee a link to the various sectors: vereniging van hoveniers en groenvoorzieners (vhg), vereniging bloemist winkeliers (vbw), royal floraholland, vereniging van groothandelaren in bloemkwekerijproducten (vgb) and lto vakgroep bomen en vaste planten.
