the initials of “i̇.de.a.” stands for the turkish words i̇leri deniz araçları’nın (advanced marine vehicles). these high performance vehicles includes planing crafts, swath (small water plane area twin hull) ships, hydrofoils, hovercrafts, ses (surface effect ships) and wigs (wing in ground effect). the main aim of i̇.de.a. is to design, manufacture and introduce these vehicles. for this reason, the first project of i̇.de.a. is to build and test a hydrofoil sailing boat under the support of tübi̇tak (the scientific and technological research council of turkey)
