I Am Heshima

we are building a movement where every child has access to education and the tools to write their own future. welcome! i am heshima is a grassroots organization registered in kenya & canada. we empower children and youth through education in and out of the classroom. we achieve this through our 5 programs: academic scholarships (primary, secondary & post-secondary) my time (reproductive health) under the mango tree (early childhood education & development) heshima football club (talent development) & leadership (education is ‘paid back’ by giving back). the 600+ children in our organization are the 1st in 3 generations of their family to graduate (from primary school)! in our community, we are the sole organization of its kind the average annual household income is $300. why i am heshima exists? although the right to education is universal, access to it is not; there is always 1 child too many abused by their protector circumstance plays far too big a role in determinin
