sriwijaya university (unsri) is one of the well-known state universities in sumatra, indonesia precisely in south sumatra province, unsri is also the most favorite ptn in the selection of snmptn and sbmptn. unsri has 2 main campus locations namely in palembang city and in indralaya city, ogan ilir regency, south sumatra, indonesia, established on october 29, 1960. the idea to have a tertiary institution in south sumatra has existed since the early 1950s, which was sparked at an occasion to celebrate independence day on august 17, 1952. initiated by a number of community leaders, it was transformed into an agreement to form the "south sumatra faculty of agriculture" . towards the end of august 1952, with various considerations, it was determined that the first to be established was the faculty of economics. for this purpose a "south sumatra economic faculty committee" was formed which was managed by a foundation established on april 1, 1953 under the name "syakhyakirti university found
