the tyne and wear branch serves over 1,200 iosh members in the north east of england, primarily in northumberland, tyne and wear, and the northern half of county durham. as an organisation were committed to cutting down the number of people who die or are made ill by what they do for a living. we think that when it comes to health and safety, only advice from qualified, experienced and skilled professionals will do. that's why one of our main roles is to maintain high standards. we recognise that health and safety isn't just down to the experts. we work with a range of organisations to raise awareness and standards. the aim of the branch is to support its members in their professional activities and in their professional development, and to further the aims of the institution. the branch plan and constitution describe how the branch functions. the tyne and wear branch holds monthly meetings between september and june, where members meet in a friendly and informal atmosphere, exchang
