Iowa Healthiest State Initiative

the healthiest state initiative is a 501c3 non-profit organization created to inspire iowans and their communities throughout the state to improve their physical, social, and emotional well-being. to achieve our goal, individuals, families, businesses, faith-based organizations, not-for-profits and the public sector will unite in a community-focused effort to make iowa the healthiest state in the nation. to measure our progress, we use the gallup-healthways well-being index®. in 2016, iowa ranked as the 19th healthiest state in the nation. our ranking has moved since the initiative was announced, but we have still have work to do to claim the #1 spot. see more at: http://www.iowahealthieststate.com
