iris and i” is an episodic web-series for children. it teaches them to investigate their fears rather than be afraid of the unknown. i remembered my best friend once told me that as a child, whenever she was afraid of something-she would investigate. she would find out as many things as she could about the one thing she was afraid of, until she knew so much-she wasn’t scared anymore. i think most of the time-especially as children, we are simply afraid of the unknown. with all the sources in the world at the tip of our fingers, i believe children should be learning there are other ways to learn, rather than just typing a question into an online search engine. dictionaries, literature, the world around you, and the people in your life and community are all incredible sources for learning. that is what i set out to show in “iris and i” . these episodes can be watched as a whole 15 minute endeavor, or in four small sections. this makes them easy to handle for the younger ones, or for a ch
