the international student identity card (isic) is the only internationally recognized student id card, endorsed by the unesco. it allows students to prove their official student status all over the world and additionally offers access to 42.000 benefits in over 130 countries. the isic card is available for full-time students at schools and universities, aged 12 and over. many of the discounts and services are also accessible to young people up to 30 years of age with the international youth travel card (iytc) and to full-time teachers with the international teacher identity card (itic). in germany, the isic card is issued by the rds reisedienst deutscher studentenschaften gmbh and can be ordered online and nationwide in about 350 places, such as student services, student representations and travel agencies.
