about us iskaba was birthed from love. the love for afrobeat. the love for dance. and most importantly, the love between two friends guided by a goal. the goal of uniting people around these passions, and letting them forget about everything that is happening off the dancefloor. this is a time of communion and celebration. afrobeat is about hiplife, bongo flava, coupé decalé, soukous, kwaito, gquom, zouk, kizomba, afro-pop, afro-house, but also reggae, dancehall, soca songs, baile funk and even hip-hop, rap and r’n’b. it’s an allover vibe. when one friday per month. which friday depends on special events such as fashion week, special guest, dj, etc. we only want to throw one iskaba party per month. the goal is to create a buzz around it, expecting it to become a special “rendez-vous” for the afrobeat lovers from paris and around the world. how the jangal can hold 200 people at its max, but during fashion week, iskaba welcomed 600 people in turn-over. admission is free at the jangal
