islamic relief at the university of ottawa aims to fundraise, support, and work with communities to strengthen their resilience to calamities and help to provide vital emergency aid when disasters occur. we tackle the root causes of poverty and make sure that the world’s most vulnerable people have real influence in both our programs and advocacy. we support islamic relief canada’s (irc) causes both locally and abroad with no discrimination based on faith, colour, race, gender, or creed, and to provide aid in a compassionate and dignified manner. we look to fulfill our obligation to alleviating poverty by upholding irc’s core values of sincerity, excellence, compassion, social justice and custodianship.
