Island Migrant Rights Initiative
through the generous grant funding by the kathryn w davis’ 100 projects for peace program, our 2022 summer initiative is dedicated to addressing the lack of information, academic literature and documentation about migrant issues in oahu by cultivating a multi-media campaign. our resources, including know your rights-type materials, a mapping project of helpful resources and organizations in the region, an executive report of the history and present struggles imposed upon migrants, among others, are available across social media platforms and physical media for migrant communities, educators, activists and scholars. we maintain two primary goals: to raise awareness around the systemic barriers that migrants face in the state, as well as promote and streamline the information that can help migrants in their day-to-day lives. the ultimate objective is ensuring a more just and secure life for migrants. for more information, check our linktree.
