Issaquah Youth Football & Cheer

issaquah youth football (iyf) is one of the 18 clubs operating independently within the greater eastside junior football association (gejfa). iyf is responsible for its own registration, fundraising, equipment outfitting, and internal club administration (election of club board members) and scheduling (e.g., club board meetings, identification and assignment of practice fields, etc.) all consistent with the gejfa rules. gejfa was formed by the bellevue boys and girls club in 1963 to provide contact football in a program that respects the boys and girls club philosophy. gejfa serves all youth between the ages of 8 and 14. there are five levels of play based on an age/weight formula to ensure that players compete against players of like size and age. the levels are rookie, cub, sophomore, junior varsity and, varsity.the gejfa youth football program is unique in its high number of participants and rules to ensure the equitable playing time for all players.
