the school of education (soe) prepares elementary, middle school, and high school teachers, school and district leaders, student affairs professionals, community college and university leaders, and educational researchers who work across the p-20 continuum to support equitable learning opportunities for all students. the soe community is grounded in a belief that public education is a cornerstone of a healthy, vibrant, and just society. graduates of our programs gain the knowledge, skills and dispositions to be educators of excellence, making a difference in the lives of children, youth, and adults in iowa, the nation, and the world.
