founded in new york, it takes a village africa is a community development non-profit that provides self-sufficient solutions for education, healthcare, and agriculture. our primary initiative is the science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (s.t.e.a.m) program is for primary school education in central monrovia. itava is a 501 c (3) non-profit organization. itava provides solutions to impoverished african villages with a full-spectrum of solutions and services that will ultimately break the cycle of poverty that is common throughout africa. itava works in liberia, giving support to five schools that serves over 900+ children with major focus on primary education. while itava has receives funding from mostly private donors, the organization is also self-sufficient in that it operates on over 800-acres of farmland throughout liberia. the output contributes directly to their projects and the resources that both students and itava staff need for daily life. it takes a village
