joy making a difference inc is a 501c3 non-profit after school program, as well as a recipient of the 21st century community learning center grant, sponsored by the department of education. joy services students in grades 7 through 12 and focus on career awareness and exploration that implements program activities for students based around developing lifelong aspirations, making informed choices about college attendance and careers, identifying goals and the exposure to a wide range of career experiences. these topics are particularly pertinent to students in the middle and high school grades preparing for futures beyond the public school setting.
