Jaagriti an Awakening

jaagriti is a youth-focused, volunteer driven initiative for improving the lives of the children from underprivileged migrant communities. started in february 2009 to provide pre-school education to a small group of just 20 children, jaagriti has now grown substantially in both scope and geographical coverage. we are currently operating in new delhi with 2 projects looking after the educational and skill building needs of 100+ children. wherever we go, we first interact with the target community and conduct focused discussions to understand their problems and needs. we then work together with the community people to create sustainable solutions for addressing their challenges. during the course of execution, we regularly share the progress of our initiatives with the community, understand how jaagriti has made a difference to their lives and seek their comments for making our initiatives more effective. all this is accomplished by the jaagriti team which comprises of students, professi
