jabari is a new grassroots start-up based in calgary. our name according to the urban dictionary means “strong, having great power or influence. having the power to persuade. marked by the ability to withstand stress without structural damage or distortion. not showing weakness or uncertainty”. our primary goal is bringing women together for mentorship, accountability, and support to achieve their dreams. one of our main components is facilitating group networking through seminars, workshops, professional events, and personal support through accountability partnership and one-on-one mentorship while also helping women to secure meaningful employment. jabari was founded on the principle of love, empathy, integrity, and respect for one another.
