proceeds from our tournament are distributed as scholarships to deserving hispanic high school graduates and ongoing college students through the hispanic business association’s richard g. cortez scholarship foundation. beginning with a single $500 scholarship 21 years ago, tournament proceeds has funded almost $300,000 and benefited 365 students who have demonstrated academic success leadership skills and determination in the pursuit of personal goals. our mission is to help reduce the financial obstacles that prevent many high-achieving minority students from furthering their education and fulfilling their potential. everyone benefits when we invest in a generation of leaders who represent the diverse society in which we live. proceeds from our tournament are distributed as scholarships to deserving hispanic high school graduates and ongoing college students through the hispanic business association’s richard g. cortez scholarship foundation.
