at jamaica life virtual we are passionate about our island, the history, culture and service to underserved communities. we believe that through the power of the internet, people looking for interactive experiences can engage with jamaica’s culture while giving back to local communities and in the process get personal growth. my story of how jamaica virtual life got started i am maureen wright-evans founder of jamaica virtual life. february 2020 was a month i will never forget. the dreaded coronavirus we were all hearing about had finally reached the united states our major travel partner. all around the world, schools and colleges cancelled their spring break trip abroad. i remember dreading the thought of answering the phone or checking the emails as there were cancellations one after the other. for over 15 years, our organization has worked with top high schools and universities to offer educational travel to jamaica. our travelers are students on study abroad, volunteers an
