jay's bookbinding is a family owned business with 62 years of experience. at the age of 14, i started learning the trade and art of bookbinding. i started my apprenticeship for new mexico bookbinders at the age of 14 in 1955. i worked through school working 1 hour in the morning then working 1.5 hours in the afternoon and saturdays. in 1968, i went into the service for 18 months then back to work until 1985. i bought the business after the passing of the owner. i have bound books for about 62 years.
