Jazz-Kabeez

kabeez is the traditional way of pickling and storing various vegetables in the middle east in order to keep them for the winter months. jazz kabeez took inspiration from this sustainable way of keeping foods and aims to do the same jazz music by sharing bites that need to be seen and archived for the people hungry for new sounds in the future. jazz kabeez is based in beirut and can be considered as an open space for musicians from all backgrounds to interact and exchange. this philosophy is based on the daily reality of lebanon, being a country still struggling with sectarianism following a decade-long civil war as well as various tensions including the refugee communities from palestine and syria. the initiative is focusing on creating and sharing content on social media to educate people about the power of jazz music and intends to connect musicians all over the middle east and beyond the region to celebrate their creativity.
