Jazz Maastricht

the jazz maastricht foundation is dedicated to deliver a creative contribution to the cultural life in maastricht and the 'euro-region', and to stimulate the education and careers of the artists in this area. we therefore facilitate productions and offer a program of festivals, concerts, open sessions, workshops and master classes throughout the entire year. the best known events organized by jazz maastricht are the jazz masters in the spring and the jazz promenade in the fall. jazz masters is a meeting of world top artists and innovating talent from the euro-region. starting in 2010 the promenade will be relocated to the accomodations of the mecc congress centre, as part of a new festival mecc jazz maastricht. an important selection of international celebrities will perform on the stages, together with many cultural institutions from maastricht. two weeks before this event, many pubs in town contribute to a festive 'warming up party', called the jeker jazz promenade. during the year,
