hi, we’re joe and james – we are old school friends and we are both a little obsessed with awesome furniture. before starting jdd we studied design at university, followed by working with some of the industry’s leading furniture and product design studios - doing commissions from furniture to hydrogen cars. it was whilst catching up over a beer in christmas 2009 we decided it was time to join forces and build our own quality furniture company – lead by a strong design philosophy. our aim, to create products that tackle the issues of the evolving office space, simple! we proudly design and manufacture all our furniture from our own factory based in the west midlands. it is very important to us that the products are made locally to ensure quality, comfort and lead times (usually 4-6 weeks ex works) are maintained. jdd is about designing with people in mind - with you in mind. defining modern spaces needs a fresh approach. we are no longer tied to our desks, the office needs to be a usefu
