jfs is a non-profit social service agency that serves individuals and families in the york community regardless of faith. our programs include: • wise options: comprehensive planning to maintain the independence and dignity of seniors. we offer assessments and case management; family guidance from near and afar; personal affairs management and guardianship and crisis management • staying connected: volunteers helping older adults live independently through escorted health-care transportation; grocery shopping and other essential errand; medicare counseling and advocacy and referrals. • the parenting place: a personalized approach to 21st century family challenges with one-on-one and small-group coaching to:strengthen basic parenting skills and improve communication. • project manna: a safety net for those in need, including a food pantry, holiday-time assistance, counseling on benefits and community education and advocacy (on hunger issues).
